Obituary of Felicia Atkins Hayton

Felicia Atkins Hayton, 92, of Ceres, Virginia, went on June 29, 2023, to be with the Lord she loved and served after a long and well-lived life. She was surrounded by her beloved family who will miss her dearly. She will also be fondly remembered by the many people whose lives she touched and who became her close friends throughout her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Leon Hayton, and her six siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rhonda Hayton Clary; son-in-law, Thomas Ozlin Clary; grandsons, Michael Alan Clary and Jason Thomas Clary, and their spouses; and stepdaughter, Carol Ann Hayton. Throughout her life, her siblings blessed her with numerous nieces and nephews, especially Hilda Parks whose grace never wavered through many decades. As a child of the Great Depression, she overcame many adversities that shaped her into the wonderful person she became. She was instilled with a life of hard work, service to others, and commitment to the community she loved. Throughout her many years, she perfected her skills in gardening, quilting, and cooking for those around her – each with a dedication admired by many. The family requests all who loved Felicia to join them for a graveside service at Bethany United Methodist Church in Ceres on Saturday, July 8 2023 at 11am with Pastor Neal Hammons officiating.
