Obituary of Arlene Hope Crowder White

Arlene Hope Crowder White, of Rural Retreat, passed away at her home Tuesday, January 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Izetta Easter Crowder, and an infant daughter, Jeanie Marie White. Arlene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherri White-Reynolds and James Reynolds, Jr.; two grandchildren, Clayton Reynolds and Jessa Reynolds all of Rural Retreat; three sisters and brother-in-law, Lois Goad, Janet Crowder both of Hillsville, Emma Lou and Thomas Hanks of Williamsburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Nelson and Linda Crowder of Hillsville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Per Ms. White’s request, there will be no services. Sherri White wishes to thank her dad, Curtis White, for all the love and support during her difficult time.
