Obituary of Norma Jean Henderson Hurst

Norma Jean Henderson Hurst, age 93, of Wytheville, passed away Friday, January 05, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Dean and Beulah Umberger Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Crockett Hurst, Jr. Jean is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret “Sissy” and Robert Webb of Hillsville, Lynn and Eric Polstra of Lynchburg; son and daughter-in-law, James Sr. and Beth Hurst of Wytheville; sister, Doris Umberger of Wytheville; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and June Henderson of Wytheville; grandchildren, James Crockett “Jamie” Hurst, Jr., John Crockett Webb and Janet, Jesse Crockett Hurst, III and Jasmine; great grandchildren, Jesse Crockett “J.C.” Hurst, IV, Carolyn Marie Hurst; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hurst and Helen Andrews, numerous devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her porch friends, Anne Busic, Susi Lawson, and Wilma Nidifer. A special thanks to Pastor Jonathan Hamman and her Walker Mountain Parish Family. A graveside service will be held 2 P.M. Monday, January 8, 2024 at West End Cemetery conducted by Pastor Jonathan Hamman.
