Obituary of Henry Graham Jackson

Henry Graham Jackson of Wytheville, VA passed away unexpectedly at his home the morning of March 11, 2024, at the age of 79. Henry is preceded in death by his loving wife Linda Ingo Jackson, his father Stonewall Lee Jackson, mother Evelyn Davidson Jackson, and his brother Stonewall Jackson. Henry is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Jackson Poole and son-in-law Kenny Poole of Wytheville, VA and Jamie Jackson of Wytheville, VA. Henry is lovingly remembered by his two granddaughters, Lauren Poole Matthews and husband Tanner Matthews of Wytheville, VA, Kaitlyn Poole Collins and husband Brandon Collins of Wytheville, VA. One Great Grandchild, Weston Graham Matthews of Wytheville, VA. One sister survives, Patty Jackson of Roanoke, VA. Special great nieces and nephews include Madalyn, Danielle, and William Morris of Wytheville, VA. As well as many special friends and family. Henry was born in Wytheville, VA on November 19th. Henry attended George Wythe High School where he graduated and soon after enlisted in the United States Army. Henry worked for L.E. Myers Trucking for 22 years and retired in 2013. Henry was an avid car enthusiast, and he enjoyed many car shows, including showing some of his own prized cars. He loved NASCAR and talking cars with anyone. Henry was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, son, and husband. Henry loved being with his family, especially his granddaughters and new great grandson. The visitation will be held at Grubb Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 5-7 pm where the family will receive guests. The remembrance service will be Friday, March 15, 2024, at Grubbs Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Reverend Aubrey Whitlow officiating. Burial to follow at West End Cemetery in Wytheville, VA. The family will receive guests at their daughter Michelle and son-in-law Kenny’s resident.
