Obituary of Linda Jean Winesett Shewey
Linda Jean Winesett Shewey 71 of Bland went to be with her Lord and Savior April 8th, 2024, passing peacefully at her home.
Linda was born in Arkansas City, Kansas to the late Ira R and Wilma Winesett. Linda lived a quiet life in Bland County working as a hairdresser for many years and later in life enjoyed her church and church family at Bastain Union Church. She proudly attended church until her health began to fail, but faithfully watched their livestream service until her death. Linda spent her time enjoying God’s most beautiful creations. She loved planting flowers, crocheting afghans for loved ones and strangers alike, visits with family that she deeply adored, and watching her grandchildren & great-grandchildren play and grow. She never kept a smile or a hug to herself and was known to share both with everyone she met.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ira R and Wilma Winesett.
Those left to cherish her memory are two Uncles Harold and Donald Ramsey of Bland, two brothers Rex and Randy Winesett of Bland and a sister Rhonda (Bill) Derenge of Charlotte NC. Three daughters and a son. Rebecca Holbrook and Sharon Shewey of Bland, Sarah Camper of Ivanhoe. James Shewey of Tazewell. Grandchildren Devon Shewey, Conner and Mason Camper. Tara Blea, Laura and Carson Holbrook, Nathan (Emma) Saunders, Ember Olinger and Savanna Hiltz. Great grandchildren Bradley, Julie, Maverick, Renesmee and a very anticipated Ayla. Special friends Pauline, Duane and Steve as well as her beloved furry companion Bella and a slew of friends and family including nieces and nephews too numerous to name.
A service will be held to celebrate her life April 20th, at 3pm at Bastain Union Church with family receiving visitors one hour prior to Service. Pastor Busby officiating. In leu of flowers donations can be made to Bastain Union Church Building Fund. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
