Obituary of Jean Meredith Moore

Jean Meredith Moore age 92 of Wytheville, passed away on April 23, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Richard Neal and Olia Davis Meredith. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Jackson W. Moore and a son, Ronnie Moore. Jean was the Oldest Female Member of the Wytheville Baptist Church and an avid watcher and absolutely loved the tv show The Young and Restless. Survivors include her four daughters, Dianna Hoback of Wytheville; Terry Curtsinger of Nicholasville, KY; Pam Busse of Virginia Beach; Robin Moore of Wytheville; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lisa Moore of Rural Retreat; five grandchildren, Chris Hoback, Kelly Umberger, Rae Moore, Caroline Busse and Cody Moore; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren; brother, Roy Meredith of West Chester, OH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Grubb Funeral Home with the Pastor Bill Lively officiating. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon to 2 P.M. Friday. In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to St Jude’s Childrens Hospital or a charity of your choice.
