Obituary of Jane Ayers Lundy

Jane Ayers Lundy, 52, of Wytheville, Virginia passed away on May 18, 2024 after a long and difficult journey with metastatic breast cancer. Jane relied on her strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout her extended battle. ​Jane was preceded in death by her father Robert J. Ayers and her husband William B. Lundy. Jane is survived by her mother Sue P. Ayers of Wytheville, Virginia, her children Hannah Lundy and Andrew Lundy of Wytheville, Virginia, her brother Robert (Mary Lou) Hutton of Lebanon, Virginia, in-laws Jack and Bonnie Lundy of Bastian, Virginia and Carolyn King of Bastian, Virginia, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and her special and beloved fur baby, Marley. ​Jane was a graduate of Rural Retreat High School Class of 1989 and Radford University Class of 1993. She attended Life Changers Church of Wytheville, Virginia and was a member of Rural Retreat United Methodist Church. Jane was loyally supported by her breast cancer survivor sisters and many close and special friends. She was employed by Irvin Construction Services for 14 years. Her work family loved and stood by her throughout her journey. ​The family will receive friends at Rural Retreat United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from noon until 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow. The service will be officiated by Pastor David Payne and Pastor Todd Porter. The family asks that all those attending the service wear pink or pastel colors in honor of Jane.
