Obituary of Roscoe Richardson, Jr

Roscoe Richardson, Jr age 79, of Speedwell, passed away on Friday August 9, 2024. He was born in Virginia on July 25, 1945 to the late Roscoe, Sr. and Mary Alice Cornett Richardson. He was preceded in death by two sons, Mickey and Jamie Richardson. Survivors include his two daughters, Ginger Richardson of Speedwell; Ashley Richardson of Ceres; two grandchildren, Greyson Andrews and Ella Richardson; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Mike Albert of Wytheville; Janie Repass of Wytheville; Jean and Richard Ward of Crockett; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Barbara Richardson of Wytheville; two nieces, Amy Kerns and Teresa Hagee; three great nieces, Laura Lawson, Sasha Parks and Anna Parks; nephew, Steven Durham and Alex Durham. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Grubb Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Bell officiating. Interment will follow in the Speedwell Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
