Obituary of Foye Clinton Frye

Foye Clinton Frye, age 77, passed away Thursday night September 20th at his home in Marion, VA. He was born on December 24, 1946 to his father, Hiram Peyton Frye and his mother, Erma Grubb Frye. Foye was an only child but grew up in the neighborhood with his double first cousin, Chalmer L. Frye and other friends nearby. Foye had many aunts, uncles and first cousins on both sides of his family. He loved hunting, fishing, yard sales, and flea markets. Foye is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Holliday Frye, of Marion, VA and his son, William (Billy) Foye Frye of Lake Anna, VA. A grandson, Brody William Frye was added to. the family in 2013. Foye was so proud of Brody and loved hearing things about him. Foye grew up next door to Evergreen Church and in 2022 he and Peggy moved their membership back to Evergreen Church. We attended church there on a regular basis until Foye got sick and couldn't attend. Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Grubb Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Alderman officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
