Obituary of Sarah Johnstone Graham

Sarah Helen Johnstone Graham, age 71, of Wytheville, passed away Monday February 20, 2017. She was the daughter of the late John William (Bill) Jr. & Helen Peary Johnstone. Sarah was a member of the Max Meadows United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, John William “Billy” Johnstone, III; half-brothers, Charles Robert Hancock, Donald Hancock; grandchild, Joseph Graham Aker. She is survived by her husband, Abner Bruce Graham, Jr. of Wytheville; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela Denise & George “Cleve” Aker of Wytheville, Tammy Marie & Garry Lee Akers of Crockett, Candice Renee & Ernest “Charlie” Hall of Galax; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet & Randy Wright of Wytheville, Debbie & H.A. Suthers of Wytheville; brother and sister-in-law, Danny & Lori Johnstone of Woodbridge; grandchildren and spouses, Evan Daniel & Gretta Mae Aker, Andrew Stephen Akers & Teri Jo Hills, Cole Hall, Samantha Marie Akers, Erika Danielle Aker, Richard Raymond Wright, Sarah Elizabeth & Jonathan Ryan Hall; great grandchildren, Sidney Micheal Stacy, Cora Pearl Stacy, Anna Marie Akers; special friends, Sam & Bobbie Ward of North Carolina. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Max Meadows United Methodist Church, conducted by Pastor Bill Shupe, The Reverend Rick Lindamood and Pastor Ronny Harrison, with interment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church, Saturday from 11 AM until service time.
