Obituary of Charles David Spraker

Charles David Spraker, age 84, of Cripple Creek, passed away February 25, 2017. David grew up in Cripple Creek the son of the late Charles Jackson & Viola Dunn Spraker. He graduated from Speedwell High School, attended Calvary United Methodist Church and was a life time Wythe County Farmer. David was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Spraker and Aunt, Alma Spraker. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Iris Ann Spraker; daughter, April Lynn Spraker Stump; grandchild and spouse, Alysa & Daniel Hampton; brother and sister-in-law, Phil & Thesa Spraker; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Zoe Jackson, Ron & Fritzi Atkins, Don & Cindy Atkins, Betty & Dickie Lefler; great grand-dogs, Chewy Hampton, Toto Hampton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Daniel Hampton, Don Atkins and Jeff Callahan. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 PM until service time. Burial will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Agape Food Pantry, 1355 W Spring St, Wytheville, VA 24382. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
