Obituary of Kenneth Charles Davis, Sr.

Kenneth Charles “Casey” Davis, Sr., age 93, of Wytheville, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017. He was born on June 6, 1923 in Russell County near Lebanon, VA, to the late Ollie B. and Ethel M. Davis. He was employed by VDOT for 49 years as a highway surveyor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred C. Davis of 63 years, brother, O. B. Davis, sister Mable L. Davis and a son, Gordon Davis. Kenneth is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Charles, Jr. & Paula Davis, of Fort Mill, SC; sister-in-law, Joyce Davis of Ponte Vedra, FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

A graveside memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday, May 27, 2017 at West End Cemetery conducted by The Reverend Preston Sartell. The American Legion Post #9 will conduct military graveside rites. A celebration of life will be also held after the graveside at the Wytheville Moose Lodge.
