Obituary of Danny R. Mitchell

Danny R. Mitchell, age 80, of Wytheville, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017. He was born in Red Jacket, West Virginia the son of the late Drewy & Alma Hoskins Mitchell, and was retired from Bell System Phone Company. Danny is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Boothe Mitchell of Wytheville; daughters and son-in-law, Pamela Hurd of Gilbert, Az., Sharon and Ken Busse of Dana Point, Ca.; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Kimberly Mitchell of Wytheville; granddaughters, Erica Hurd of Ca., Kendall Busse of Ca., Kristen Mitchell of Wytheville; great granddaughter, Harley Heldreth of Wytheville.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Petunia Christian Church, conducted by The Reverend Derek Layman. The family will receive friends at church from 12 noon until service time. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Petunia Christian Church Relay for Life, 2420 West Lee Hwy., Wytheville, VA 24382.
