Obituary of Ruby Aliene Catron Blankenship

Ruby Aliene Blankenship, age 79, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017, at her home in Fairfax, VA. She was born in Wytheville, VA on November 15, 1937 to the late Lawrence Early Catron and Sallie Isabelle Catron. She was preceded in death by her eldest grandson, John Bilbow, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald Blankenship; children and spouses, Terry and Brenda Blankenship of Glen Allen, VA and Rebecca and John Bilbow of Woodstock, VA; grandchildren and spouse, Danielle and Chris Delo of Fairfax, VA and Robert, James, and Elizabeth Bilbow of Woodstock, VA; great-granddaughters Lilian and Claire Delo; and siblings Patsye Irvin, Norma Grubb, Betty Spraker, Fleta Irvin, Ronnie Catron, CD Catron, and Vickie Lokos.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Berea Christian Church in Wytheville. The family will receive friends Friday, August 25, 2017, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Grubb Funeral Home. In lieu of flower arrangements, donations may be made to Berea Christian Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Sandra Ferguson 500 S. Petunia Rd., Wytheville, VA 24382.
