Obituary of Alice Rose Farris

Alice Rose Farris, age 83 of Max Meadows, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Malcolm & Elva Ogle Rose. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burton Farris, son, Roger Dale Farris and grandson, Landon Simmerman. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Janet & Bill Lyons of Rural Retreat, Brenda & Sam Alley of Max Meadows; sons & daughters-in-law, Jerry & Pansy Farris of Kernersville, NC, Clint & Myra Farris of Max Meadows; god daughter, Mitsy King of Wytheville; sisters Eliza Scott of Max Meadows, Virginia Hudson of Austinville, Frances Pierce of Fries, Nancy Rose of Wytheville; brother & sister-in-law, Daniel Ray & Janice Rose of Max Meadows. 3 Granddaughters, 2 Grandsons, 3 Great Granddaughters, Step Grandchildren, Step Great Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held 7 PM, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by The Reverend Bill Shupe and Pastor Cindy Privette. The family will receive friends from 5PM until service time. A graveside service will be held 1PM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Sanders Cemetery.
