Family of Bill Grubb,
I am very said to hear that my best friend has passed. He and I spent many years together at George Wythe High. We were on the football team together where he made "All State" center. I was a part of his wedding when he married Martha. I also went to his house many times when he and your mother lived in Roanoke. I have kept in touch over the years and we went out to eat nearly every time that I came to Wytheville (about one or two times a year). He was a fine man and was always friendly. Did he ever tell you about the trip that he and I made to Kingsport to see Martha. She was there with her college singing group to participate at a church presentation. We made quite a hit with our families because we had told a false story about going to Pulaski with the KEY Club. I had he and Daryl Taylor come to Huntsville, AL (at my house) to visit for a few days back about five years ago. I give you my deepest Condolences of your Father's Passing and hope you will carry his memories with you as much as I will. Let me know if you need to ask any questions on our friendship.
Love,
Karl Crowder
