Obituary of Frances Poff Hudson

Frances Poff Hudson, age 88, of Wytheville passed away Sunday May 8, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Ernest H. and Clara Hounshell Poff, a member of the West End United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband James R. Hudson, Sr. She is survived by, daughter & son-in-law, Faye & Dennis Barker of Wytheville; sons & daughters-in-law, James “Hubby” & Diane Hudson of Wytheville, Roger & Becky Hudson of Wytheville; sisters & brother-in-law, Hazel Miller of Fairfax, Va, Shirley & Jerry Houseman of Wytheville; brother & sister-in-law, Vance & Helen Poff of New Jersey; grandson, Brian Hudson of Christiansburg, Va.; grandchildren & spouses, Khristy & Keith Burnette of Mineral Springs, NC, Holly & Steve Bricker of Wytheville; great grandchildren, Hunter Hudson, Caroline Hudson, Madison Burnette, Blair Burnette, Dominic Bricker, Cicely Bricker; Special care giver, Fay Arnold of Speedwell; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Ann Blair and Reverend Rick Lindamood officiating, with interment to follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday May 10, 2016 at the funeral home. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
