Obituary of Elizabeth Kegley Pack
“Although I am now unable to hold you in my arms, I will forever hold you near in my heart!”
Elizabeth “Betsy” Louise Kegley Pack, age 87, formerly of Wytheville, passed away in her home in Salem on Friday, October 12, 2018. She was born on March 19, 1931 to the late Everett Elwood and Gretta Courtney Kegley. She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Pauley; brothers, Larry and Wayne Kegley; sister-in-law Olivia Kegley; and brothers-in-law John Layton, Richard Tibbs, and David Mabe.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Kay Hughes of Salem; Susan Pauley and Scott Lowrance of Richmond; son, Steve Pauley of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Gina Wheeling, Gretta Hughes-Kingery, and Maggie Hughes Coffey; three great grandchildren, Trinity Hughes, Aden Britton and Evyn Hughes; three sisters, Nancy Tibbs of North Carolina; Miriam Layton of Maryland; Sharon Mabe of Roanoke; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Mavis Kegley of Wytheville; Maynard Kegley of Arkansas; Randall and Fern Kegley of Ohio; Russell and Carolyn Kegley of Covington; a multitude of nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Bobbie Kegley and Nancy Kegley; and Tippy, the extra special cat.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Holy Advent Lutheran Church, 4564 Stoney Fork Road, Wytheville. Pastor Joe Shumate will officiate. Interment will follow in the St John Lutheran Cemetery on Holston Road.
