Obituary of Joseph Michael Cassell

Joseph Michael "Mike" Cassell, age 68, of Wytheville, passed away, Friday November 9, 2018. Mike was a member of All Nations Church of God, a graduate of Virginia Tech, a retired Virginia Extension Agent, and supporter of the Wytheville Farmers Market, co-owner of Cassell Family Farms and served in the United States Coast Guard. He is preceded in death by his mother Jewel “Toody” Duncan Cassell.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Johnson Cassell of Wytheville; Sons & daughter-in-law, Samuel Michael Dale & Aubrey Cassell of Fort Blackmore, VA, Daniel Ryan Cassell & Fiancée Amber Arnold of Wytheville; Father Sam & spouse, Mary “Sis” Cassell of Wytheville; sister & brother-in-law, Cindy & Dave Smith of Leland, NC.; grandchildren, Devin Cassell, Aiden Cassell; several cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends also survive.

Funeral service will be held 7PM Monday, November 12, 2018 at All Nations Church of God, 1020 Stafford Umberger Dr, Wytheville, VA 24382, conducted by Pastor Chad Dunford. The family will receive friends Monday from 5PM until service time. A graveside will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 1PM at Southwest Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Va.
