Obituary of Catherine Eanes Wingate King

Catherine Eanes Wingate King, age 95, formerly of Evans, Georgia, passed away peacefully under the compassionate care of the staff at Carrington Place of Wytheville and Wythe Hospice of Southwest Virginia on November 26, 2018. She was born on November 21, 1923, in Hemphill, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Mary Alice Eanes Wingate and Robert Reece Wingate.

She was preceded in death by her husband John and three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her sister Mary Jean Spraker of Wytheville, VA, her children Johnny King of Barren Springs, VA, Connie Chamberlain of Rome, Ga, Sandra Rabil and Ed of Augusta, Ga, Robert King and Suzanne of Gaston, SC, Rodney King and Rita of Clarksville, TN, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
