Obituary of John Clark Dunford, Sr.

John Clark Dunford, Sr., age 83, of Max Meadows, passed away Thursday December 13, 2018.  He was born in Virginia April 30, 1935 to the late Porter and Mattie Moore Dunford. Clark was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margie Maxine Dunford of Max Meadows; three sons and daughters-in-law, John Clark, Jr. of  Max Meadows; Barry and Linda Dunford of Wytheville; Kevin and Betty Dunford of Dublin; brother and sister-in-law, Perry and Brenda Dunford of Wytheville; four grandchildren Ashely and Randy Hagler of Christiansburg; Mark Dunford of Wytheville; Danielle and Chris Weaver of Max Meadows; Brandon Dunford of Dublin; four great grandchildren, Ethan Cassell, Logan Hagler, Sydney Hagler and Serenity Taylor; and several extended family members also survive.  

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday December 16, 2018 at the Grubb Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Lindamood officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Piney.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.   Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
