Obituary of Harlan Bruce Clemons

Harlan Bruce Clemons, age 94, of Wytheville, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was the son of the late Bruce & Mammie Wright Clemons. Harlan was United States Army Veteran of WWII a member of the VFW and the American Legion Post #9 also a long time member of the Wytheville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mae Sharitz Clemons of Wytheville; sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis & Debra Lynn Clemons of Wytheville, Tim & Maureen Clemons of Fredericksburg, VA, Tug & Amy Clemons of Wytheville, James “Jody” Clemons of Wytheville; 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Timothy Irving, with interment to follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 12 noon until service time. American Legion post #9 will conduct Military graveside rites.
