Obituary of Francis Irvin Sharpe

Francis Aline Irvin Sharpe, age 92, of Wytheville, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Trinkle & Mozelle Hilton Irvin. Francis was preceded in death by her husband, Howard S. Sharpe; son, Roger Sharpe; daughter, Dianna Decatur Jett. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie & John Baden of Palmyra, VA, Evonda Sharpe of Wytheville, Harvey Etta & Brian Thorpe of West Virginia, Pamela Sue & Dennis Shelton of Stafford, VA, Denise Sharpe of Wytheville; sister and brother-in-law, Emma Sue & Charlie Gilbert of Bristol, VA; brother, Verl Trenton Irvin of Wytheville; daughter-in-law, Anne Sharpe; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow in Mt. Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until service time. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
