Ruth and I met many years ago. We were in the same field and knew lots of the same people. We kept up with one another over the years, and Ruth was always optimistic and funny and kind to a fault, even after her illness progressed. I remember thinking one day after we had talked that our bodies had changed as we aged, but that Ruth had kept her incredible spirit and warmth always. I will miss Ruth, just like I know lots of others will miss her. My condolences to Amber, Raymont, Jody and their families. I think the light in the world got a bit dimmer with Ruth's passing.
