I only knew "Jim" via the telephone.....you see, I have worked at the sheriff's office in Bland County for almost 25 years and for as long as I can remember, Jim was that all too familar voice that picked up the phone at The Paper Clip when we needed to order something. I am going to miss him saying, "Miss Sonya, Miss Sonya what can I do for you today". Always a kind voice. So sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I never met him in person, but I spoke to him very often by phone to order office supplies for where I work. I will forever hear his jolly voice when he answered calls. He was my favorite and everyone knew it. He always made me smile. He was the best at what he did. You could tell he cared about people. My heart is broken for you...his family.
To say he will be missed is an understatement. I'm sure I am one of many that will say the same thing.
You will be in my prayers for God to bring you comfort and strength.
