Just read about your sweet mother’s passing. I met your mother at Galena Presbyterian when she was a brand new bride. I was only 5 at that time and she was instantly my most admired lady whom I spoke of often and recently. I was so sad when your parents moved “all the way” to Pearisburg and missed Mrs. Jean and Mr. Sonny so much. My family and I just moved back from SC this past spring and I kept planning to check on visiting with her at least by phone. I also enjoyed tagging along with my mother to Mrs. Davis Sr’s home for the ladies’ meetings and well remember helping with the “Lord’s Acre” garden there on your grandparents’ land.
