I was taken back to just learn of Joyce’s passing. I have always thought the world of her and husband, Will. They have been our neighbor’s (beside the horse farm) since we moved here over 13 years ago.
After we got moved in good, Joyce picked apples from their apple tree and made us one of the best homemade pies I’ve ever eaten.. From that point on, I knew her loving heart and I really thought the world of her and Will.
I’m ashamed that I did not reach out to spend more time with Joyce as each and every time we did get together, we did not part for a long time enjoying each other’s company in friendship and laughter.
Once going to her home for some reason or another..She was working in her beautiful flower garden that had so many beautiful flowers.... I was just in awww over them and made a comment to their beauty. Joyce grabbed a bucket and started cutting some of each different type of flower for me to take home. That action touched my heart and I do not think I will ever forget the kindness she showed to me that day.
What a wonderful lady she was and one of the best I’ve met since moving to this area. She was so genuine and caring which showed each time I was around her. Will and her family with remain in my thoughts and prayers!!
