Obituary of Mary Sue Akers

Mary Sue Akers, age 65, of Wytheville, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Donald G. & Hattie Porterfield Akers. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Tina McDaniels, Judy Crigger; brothers, Randolph Akers, Gene Akers. Sue is survived by her brother, Terry Wayne Akers of Fl.; special friend, Pam Webb of Woodlawn several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & 4 great-great nieces & nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Jeff Pickett with interment to follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 A.M. until service time.
