Obituary of Elizabeth Archer Mitchem

Elizabeth Archer Mitchem, age 86 of Wytheville passed away Friday, October 21, 2016. She was the daughter of late William F. & Lettie Hedrick Crigger and a member of the Original Church of God. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Eugene Archer; second husband Ellis Eugene Mitchem; son, Ernest Archer, grandson Brian Archer; four brothers, Wade, Lloyd, Fred and Rufus Crigger. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Archer of Pulaski, Jerry Archer & Heather Carter of Wytheville; daughter-in-law, Marie Mchone Archer of Max Meadows; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday October 25, 2016 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by The Reverend Charles McPeak with interment to follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday October 24, 2016 from 6PM until 8 PM at the funeral home. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
