Obituary of Robert Eugene Hurst

Robert Eugene Hurst age 64 of, Mount Airy, NC passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021. He was born in Wythe County, Virginia on August 14, 1957, to the late Eugene “Tuney” and Virginia Hurst. He was preceded in death by his sister Doris Ann Frye. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sarah Hurst of the home. His daughter Lvonne Hurst and friend John Blevins of Rural Retreat, VA, son Jason and wife Torie Hurst of Westfield, NC, daughter Chaistine and Tj Spraker of Mount Airy NC, and son Selden and Samantha Hurst of Mount Airy, NC. His 9 grandchildren Adam and Lori Justus, Mercedes and Blake Hawks, Dustin and Gage Hurst, Autumn, Nathan and Holly Mickles. His loving sisters Brenda and Ronnie Wolhfert of Bedford, Va, Dorothy and Freddie Dalton of Draper, Virginia and Ila Haulsee of Rural Retreat Va. Along with several nieces and nephews and cousins. The family will have a memorial service on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Grubbs Funeral Home in Wytheville, VA. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 7pm with a memorial service to begin at 7:00pm.
