Obituary of Elizabeth Katherine Jones Patton

Elizabeth Katherine “Kathy” Jones Patton, passed away on November 14, 2021. She was born on March 2, 1944, to the late William “Hurley” and Mary Jones of Speedwell, VA. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She lived a devoted Christian life as a member of Graham’s Forge United Methodist Church. After her children went to school, she attended Wytheville Community College and studied hard to become a registered nurse. She lived her life dedicated to helping others. Kathy was a huge supporter of Fort Chiswell High School. She watched her sons and grand children participate in all types of activities for the Pioneers. Kathy was loved and will be missed by her husband of 60 years, Ray Patton and her sons and daughters-in-laws, Rodney and Lynn Patton and Robbie and Michelle Patton of Grahams Forge, her sisters and brother-in-law, Connie Smith and Vicki and Dennis Ogle of Wytheville. Kathy was a wonderful MomMom and loved dearly by her grandchildren Courtney and John Baumgardner, Cameron and Chandra Patton, Chaese and Laken Patton, Kelsey Patton, Chloe Patton all of Graham’s Forge and her great grandchildren, Hannah, Haleigh, Mariah & Reed Tadlock & Cooper Patton. A memorial service will be held 7 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Reverend Jerry Bell and Reverend Ray Bolen. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 P.M. until service time, burial will be private.
