Obituary of Betty Jane King Grubb

Betty Jane King Grubb, age 85, of Wytheville passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Wiley Hobson & Pearl Cox King. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Allen Grubb; brother, Garnett Lee King; sister, Patsy Sheffey, and infant sister, Peggy King. She was a longtime member of the Wytheville Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Gail and Robert Kendrick of Wytheville; Kathy G. McAllister of Wytheville; son and daughter-in-law, David and wife Menica Grubb; grandchildren, Whitney & husband Cole Throckmorton, Megan & Husband Brandon Harner, Tessa & husband Jeff Butz; great grandchildren, Briggs, Oakley & Ember Throckmorton, Rhys, Taytum & Macyn Harner, Koda & Westlynn Butz; sisters, Edna Fowler, Shirley Winebarger, brother & sister-in-law, Ralph & Judy King; many wonderful nieces & nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the Wytheville Presbyterian Church conducted by Reverend John Langham. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service at the church Wednesday. A graveside service will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday December 2, 2021 at Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat.
