Obituary of George Alexander Vaught

George Alexander Vaught, age 84, of Wytheville, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was the son of the late Thomas & Annie McClintock Vaught, was a long time member of Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church. George was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Jane Mills Vaught, daughter Tammy Vaught Haga, sons Thomas Edgar Vaught, Ronald Wayne Vaught, Furman Dale Vaught and by all of his siblings. He is survived by his; daughters & sons-in-law, Georgia & Dickie Ward of Max Meadows, Debbie & Curt Clemons of Rural Retreat, Lisa Vaught of Wytheville; sons & daughters-in-law, Mike Vaught of Max Meadows, Gary & Lisa Vaught of Rural Retreat, Robert & Melissa Vaught of Wytheville, Steve & Rhonda Vaught of Winston Salem, NC, Scotty & Niki Vaught of Wytheville, Tracy & Gayle Vaught of Wytheville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces & nephews also survive Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Pastor Steve Alderman, with interment to follow in the Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M Sunday, March 13, 2016. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
