John Denny Eversole, age 78 of Max Meadows, VA passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Wytheville, VA on July 12, 1943 to the late John Canaday and Maudie Lucindia Shupe Eversole. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy “Jo” Sexton and twin brother, Charles Benny Eversole. He was retired from Amsco/American Screw Company with 35 years of service. Denny enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years including photography, fishing, shooting and collecting guns. But his favorite by far was collecting and talking on the C.B. radio.
He made many friends doing this and will forever be known by many from his handle the “Bearded Bandit”. The pride and joy of Denny’s heart were his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He doted on them and spoiled them like no other. He dedicated a large part of his life to them and took such joy in their accomplishments. Denny may have been a quiet man, but he loved his family fiercely.
The void he leaves in our lives will never be filled, he will be loved and missed tremendously.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Jeanne Jackson Eversole; one daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Greg Altizer of Marion, VA; two granddaughters, Lora Arnold and husband Keith of Rural Retreat, VA; Emily Eversole of Marion, VA; one grandson, Jonathon Clemons of Wytheville, VA; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Arnold of Rural Retreat, VA; one aunt and three nephews.
