Obituary of Willis Jean Matney

Willis Jean “Billie” Matney age 82, of Wytheville, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Matney; son, Mark Matney and a grandson, Zak Matney. She was a Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Billie was a kind and beautiful lady loved very much by everyone. She had a laugh that would brighten anyone’s day. She was small in stature but big in her heart. She loved children and all animals. We love her and will miss her greatly. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Kym Matney; Darrell Matney; and Charles and Balinda Matney; two grandsons, Joshua Matney and Donald Hensley; two great grandsons Foster Matney and Colson Matney. A graveside service will be held 1:30 P.M. Monday February 14, 2022 at the Mt Mitchell Cemetery with Jeff Keene officiating.
