Obituary of Hazel Faye Porter

Hazel Faye Porter age 83, passed away on May 13, 2022. She was born in Wythe County on May 14, 1939 to the late Thomas W. and Geneva Groseclose Porter. Survivors include her daughter, Nanetta Umberger of Wytheville; son Wade Umberger of Little Creek; sister and brother-in-law, Paula and David Sheffey of Wytheville; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Mary Porter of Wytheville; grandson, Nathan Aker and wife April of Wytheville; three great grandchildren, Nixon, Abby and Aurelia; two nieces, Kayla White and Candice Hancock. A Memorial service will be held on 7 P.M. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Grubb Funeral Home with Pastor Lon Tobin officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at her home, 360 Cassell Rd. Apt. 3D Wytheville, VA 24382 at anytime.
