Obituary of Lori G. Holston Jones

Lori G. Holston Jones, age 52, of Wytheville, passed away on May 30, 2022. Lori was born on November 15, 1969, in Wytheville to Oreta Holston and Paris “Sonny” Hoston Jr. She obtained her CNA license, and Med-technician certification and spent many years taking care of others. Lori also became a mother to two loving sons, Jason and Jared Jones of Wytheville. Her “boys” were the most important part of her life. Lori is survived by her sons, Jason M. Jones, and Jared L. Jones, mother Oreta Holston, sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Damon Layne, brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Wendy Pauley, three aunts and 5 uncles, three beloved nieces, Megan, Ashley, and Morgan Layne, and several loving cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Paris “Sonny” Holston and her beloved husband Rodney Jones. Special thanks to Wythe County Fire Department and EMT’s, Wythe County Community Hospital doctors and nurses and Roanoke Memorial Hospital doctors, and nurses for the special care given to her. Thank you to everyone in the community for their thoughts, love, and prayers. A memorial service will be held 6P.M. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Howard Coletrain. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 5 P.M. until service time.
