Obituary of Daniel Douglas Shultz

On June 25, 2022, Wythe County lost an immense treasure and faithful friend for the ages; our family lost a precious dad, husband, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather; and the Saints in Heaven rejoiced, when Daniel Douglas Shultz passed from this life to a secure eternity in Heaven with his Savior Jesus Christ. What death stole, Christ has raised to life again, and we are honored to celebrate a life well-lived, marked by unconditional love, kindness, and acceptance, showered upon all who knew him. His wife, Jean Otey Shultz, his sister Cindy Shultz Hayes, his children Brian (wife Becky), Scott, Carrie (husband Jody), Mark (wife Gina), and Becca (husband Anthony), and all of the grandchildren and other extended family members would like to thank the many good and kind people in this community and surrounding area who have loved our family so well through this tragedy and over the years. Our prayer is that the passing of Danny will be a message to the living that a life transformed by Christ can have an impact that affects generations and entire communities for the better. A celebration of life will be held 6 P.M. Wednesday July 6, 2022, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 P.M. until service time.
