Obituary of Donald Eugene Lambert

Donald Eugene Lambert, age 73, of Bland, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was born October 24, 1948 to the late George E. and Josie Hubble Lambert. He served as a Corrections Officer for 25 years at the Bland Correctional Center, having retired as a Sergeant. He worked a number of years at ABB. After his retirement, he worked on the family farm where he spent his childhood. During his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and trout fishing. The family would like to say a special Thank You to the neighbors and friends of Shewey Valley and Ceres for the help they provided on the farm, and to the friends from far and near for the help they provided as well. Thank you to Medi-Home Health and Hospice of Pulaski, for the care that they provided. Survivors include his wife, Joyce L. Call Lambert; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Teresa Lambert; Scott and Karen Lambert; Michael Lambert; eight grandchildren, Samantha, Madison, Rachel, Michayla, Bradlee, Mallori, Anthony and Tyler; three great grandchildren, Aiden, Allie and Grey; and soon to be great grandson, Hudson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Mary Glynn Lambert, Tony and Karlene Lambert; one nephew, two nieces and two great nieces; five stepchildren and spouses, Lori and John; Marsha and Cliff; Jamie and Jenny; Kevin and Mizuho; Nathaniel and Eryn; eleven step grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 6P.M. on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Grubb Funeral Home with the Reverend Sam Shupe officiating. Graveside service will be held 10 A.M. Monday at the Hounshell Family Cemetery in Ceres. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at the Grubb Funeral Home.
