Obituary of Carolyn Irene Hale

Carolyn Irene Keith Hale age 70, of Speedwell, passed away on January 2, 2023. She was born in Wythe County on October 30, 1952 to the late James Gilmer and Ola Helen Cline Keith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Lee Keith. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Michael Owen Hale of Speedwell; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jason Hale of Speedwell; Josh and Sarah Hale of Chilhowie; grandson, Matthew Hale of Chilhowie; sister, Linda Stuart of Speedwell; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Grubb Funeral Home with the Reverend Geary Jonas officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Cripple Creek. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday at Grubb Funeral Home.
