Obituary of Hazel Stoots Monday

Hazel Stoots Monday, age 96, of Wytheville, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Johnson & Ellie Sawyers Stoots. Hazel was preceded in death by her sons, Terry Monday, Joey Monday, GT Monday, and a daughter Brenda Adams. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Rebecca & Donald Adams of Grahams Forge, Sandra Kay Harmon of Myrtle Beach, Valarie & Johnny Crawford of North Carolina, Joncie & Sal Bressi of Quebec, Canada; son & daughter-in-law, Hal & Shirley Monday of Max Meadows; daughters-in-law, Carolyn Monday of Wytheville, Linda Monday of Wytheville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Gary Cope, with interment to follow in the Rosewood Memorial Cemetery, Rural Retreat. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 P.M. until service time.
