Obituary of Otis Brown Hounshell

Otis Brown Hounshell age 66, of Wytheville, passed away on Friday, January 06, 2023. He was born in Bland County on December 30, 1956 to the late Otis Brown, Sr. and Ruby Mae Turley Hounshell. Otis served in the Air Force and retired from the Town of Wytheville Water Department. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Hounshell. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Kimberly King Hounshell of Wythveille; two sons, Jamie Hounshell of Bluefield, VA; Justin Hounshell (KIM) of Wytheville; stepson, Brandon Risden of Colorado; Casey Pauley (Rebecca) three stepdaughters, Brandi Risden of Wytheville; Whitney and Joe Pearson of Wytheville, Amanda Call; sisters & brother-in-law, Ida and Jerry Lawson of Raleigh, N.C., Cris Kinion of Arizona ; grandchildren, Jacob, Emily; step grandchildren, Summer, Kelci, Hunter, Carlee, Thor, Jonah, Mariea, Amberlynnrose and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Grubb Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Mike Ingo. The family will receive friends from Thursday from 1 to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
