Obituary of Charles William Hoback

Charles William Hoback, age 83, of Wytheville, passed away Thursday January 26, 2023. He was the son of the late Ewing F. & Myrtle Jackson Hoback and was retired from the Radford Arsenal. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby; brothers, Allen Hoback, Dennis Hoback, and Charlie Hoback. A loving husband and father that loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so very much. He enjoyed the adventures of life, hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, wood crafting, knife making, always dreamed of parasailing and just always loved playing with the kids and making everyone laugh. He is survived by his wife, Nora Hoback of Wytheville; daughter & son-in-law, Melissa & Terry Harris of Wytheville; sons & daughter-in-law, William A. & Kathy Hoback of Wytheville, David A. Hoback of Wytheville; sister, Brenda Arnold of Max Meadows; grandchildren, Brittney Lambert, Karisa McKay, Krista Allen, Hunter Hoback; great grandchildren, Shaylee, Brayden, Kaidyn, Jaelynn, Olivia, Mia Rose. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Thursday February 2, 2023, at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Reverend Aubrey Whitlow, with interment to follow in the West End Cemetery.
