Obituary of Jerrold Eugene Fry, Sr.

Jerrold Eugene Fry, Sr., age 80, formerly of Wytheville, passed away February 2, 2023, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law’s home in Julian, N.C. after a decline in health over the past year. Jerrold was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was the son of the late Herman and Hazel Tickle and preceded in death by his wife, Nancey Beck Fry and a daughter, Patricia Geraldine Fry. Left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law Jerrold E. Fry, Jr (Tracy); four grandchildren, Jeffery Wayne Deering of Axton, VA, Eliza Mitchelle Miller (Brian) of Hertford, NC, Stephanie Marie Fry (James) of Greensboro, N.C., Jerrold E. Fry III (Liberty) of Danville, VA; five great grandchildren, Dawson Roy Timithy Deering, Bristol-Ann Mayson Deering, Emma LeeAnn Deering, Faith Madison Cain and Grace Valentine Fry; sister, Della Sue Moss (Gary) of Chatham, VA, sister-in-law, Janet Beck Holland (Lee) of Danville. A graveside service will be held 2 P.M. Monday February 6, 2023, at Mt. Mitchell Cemetery conducted by Reverend Andrew Davis. Friends may call at the home of his son Jerrold E.
