I just recently learned of Jim's death and was so saddened by this news. The George Wythe Class of 1967 will miss him terribly at our upcoming 50th reunion. It was heartwarming to read messages from other classmates. Condolences to his family and many friends and may he Rest In Peace.

To Jim's family,
I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I remember climbing aboard the Wytheville school bus and heading to school with Jim. And then the many years of knowing him as a friend and classmate throughout all our years in elementary and then high school at George Wythe. He always had a winning smile and booming voice. He was our class president and has spearheaded our class reunions every 5 years. So he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. My condolences to you, his family.

Prayers for the family, Jim will be missed by myself and the class of GWHS Class of 1967. Jim was our class president in school and has had that title ever since we graduated. He done a excellent job, everybody loved him and he never met a stranger. Jim and I both went to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for our cancer treatment and I know some of the things he went thru. He was the kind of guy that would call just to see how you are feeling. His fight is thru and I know it wasn't easy. Go rest high on that mountain Jim and we will be joining before to long

Blessed that I got to visit with Jim this past June, after the passing of so many years since high school. He remained a steadfast leader of our class and will be missed. He fought the good fight with his health issues and now may he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
