Obituary of Alpha Williams Holbrook
Alpha N. Holbrook, 89 of Cripple Creek VA was called to her Lord and Savior in Heaven Tuesday May 16, 2023.
Alpha is a lifelong resident of Wythe County and among many other accomplishments a proud dairy farmer holding along with her beloved husband of 55 years the DAIRYMEN QUALITY HONOR AWARD for Grade A quality milk.
Preceded in death by her husband Burness M. Holbrook, her father Porterfield "Porter" Williams and her mother Pearl M. Williams.
Family that remains are three daughters; Marilyn and (Gary) Hughes of Huntington, WV; Jennifer "Ginger" and (Kenny) Little of Hughson, CA and Rhonda Adkins of Salk Rock, WV; seven grandchildren Amy Adkins, Jeremy and (Sara) Adkins, Beth Cordle, Suzanne Collins, Benjamin and (Crystal) Quick, Elisha Quick, Sarah and (Steve) Johnson, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, cousin, Mildred Semones and niece, Rebecca Cline.
Alpha lived her life to the fullest in a beautiful community surrounded by many wonderful neighbors and friends she could always count on and blessed by the very special friendships she shared with Sandra Wright and Glenda Lowe of Cripple Creek VA.
The celebration of her life services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 22, 2023 at Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville officiating will be Jeremy Adkins and Pastor Kenny Little. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services to follow at Speedwell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Speedwell VA.
Memorial donations in her honor can be made to the Speedwell Volunteer Fire Department, 6631 Grayson Turnpike Speedwell VA 24374 and Flowers are also appreciated.
